I'm Carlos "Charlie" Ortíz, a UX Designer based in Miami with a background that spans customer experience, operations, and design.

I earned my Google UX Design Professional Certificate through Merit America while working full time — and that experience taught me to design with real constraints in mind. My work in customer-facing industries, including years in aviation with Spirit Airlines, JetBlue, and American Airlines, gave me a deep instinct for what users actually need when things are complicated, unclear, or high-stakes.

More recently, I completed a UX internship with Ascent Up, designing the mobile and desktop experience for MindTech Guru — an AI-powered mental health platform — where I worked on results pages and a conversational UI for an AI-driven questionnaire.

I'm fluent in English and Spanish, and I bring both design thinking and real-world user empathy to every project I take on.
